Digital Wallet: Apple and Google Wallet Tickets
Digital wallet integration lets you save your Seaty tickets directly to your phone's built-in wallet app. Once added, your tickets appear on your lock screen when you arrive at the venue, giving you the fastest possible entry without opening any apps.
At its simplest, digital wallet answers one question: How can I get into the venue as quickly as possible?
Who uses this: Any ticket holder with a smartphone that has a wallet app.
Key capabilities:
- Access tickets from your lock screen at the venue (iPhone)
- Use tickets offline with no internet connection needed
- Enter the venue without opening the Seaty app
- Store multiple tickets for your whole party
How It Works
At a glance: Add tickets to your wallet once, then present your phone at the venue for instant scanning.
1. Add tickets to your wallet
From your tickets in the Seaty app, tap the wallet button. The app generates passes containing your ticket information and QR codes, then opens your wallet app to confirm.
2. Arrive at the venue
On iPhone, your ticket appears on your lock screen automatically when you're near the venue. On Android, open the wallet app manually.
3. Show your pass
Present your phone to the scanner. Each ticket has its own QR code, so if you have multiple tickets, swipe through and scan each one.
Think of it this way:
- Seaty app is where you buy and manage tickets
- Wallet app is a shortcut for faster entry at the venue
- QR codes are copied to your wallet, so they work even if you close Seaty
Device Support
The Seaty app automatically detects your device and shows the appropriate wallet option.
iPhone and iPad:
- Uses the built-in Wallet app (pre-installed on all devices)
- Button shows "Add to Apple Wallet"
Android phones:
- Requires the Google Wallet app (may need to install from Play Store)
- Button shows "Add to Google Wallet"
Samsung phones:
- May show Samsung Wallet option depending on your device
- Button shows "Add to Samsung Wallet"
Why does the button look different on different phones? Each platform has its own wallet system, so the app shows the option that works on your specific device.
Adding Tickets to Your Wallet
- Open the Seaty app and go to your tickets
- Tap an order to view your tickets
- Tap the "Add to Wallet" button
- Wait for passes to generate
- Confirm when your wallet app opens
Large Orders
If your order has more than 10 tickets, you'll select which ones to add first, then add the rest in batches.
Why 10 tickets at a time? Wallet apps perform better with smaller bundles. Adding too many at once can cause delays or errors.
What's Included in Each Pass
Each wallet pass contains:
- Scannable QR code for venue entry
- Event name and date
- Venue address
- Seat information (for reserved seating)
- Ticket category
- Event branding
Once added, passes work independently of the Seaty app. You don't need an internet connection at the venue.
Using Passes at the Venue
Lock Screen Display (iPhone)
On iPhone, your pass appears on your lock screen automatically when you're near the venue. Tap the notification to show your QR code, then present it to staff.
Why doesn't this happen on Android? Android's wallet system works differently. You'll need to open the Google Wallet app manually.
Opening Passes Manually
iPhone:
- Open the Wallet app
- Find your event pass
- Tap to show the QR code
- Present to scanner
Android:
- Open the Google Wallet app
- Find your event pass
- Tap to show the QR code
- Present to scanner
If you have multiple tickets, swipe through and scan each one individually.
Scanning Tips
- Hold your phone steady toward the scanner
- Make sure the screen is bright
- Wait for the confirmation sound or vibration
- Move to your next ticket if scanning multiple
Why are wallet passes faster than using the app? The wallet keeps your QR code ready at optimal brightness, and you can't accidentally navigate away from it.
Updating and Removing Passes
Do Passes Update Automatically?
Your QR code and seat information are fixed when you add the pass. If your ticket changes (different seat, date change, etc.), remove the old pass and add the updated ticket from the Seaty app.
On iPhone, minor updates like venue address changes may update automatically.
Removing a Pass
iPhone:
- Open the Wallet app
- Tap the pass
- Tap the menu icon in the top right
- Select "Remove Pass"
Android:
- Open Google Wallet
- Find the pass
- Tap the menu or settings icon
- Select "Remove" or "Delete"
When to remove passes:
- After the event has ended
- If you transferred your tickets to someone else
- Before re-adding updated tickets

Common Questions
Adding Passes
The "Add to Wallet" button isn't showing. What's wrong? Your device may not support wallet passes, you may not have an internet connection, or the event organiser may have disabled this feature. Use the QR codes in the Seaty app instead.
Pass generation failed. What should I do? Check your internet connection and try again. If you're adding many tickets, try adding fewer at a time. You can always use the in-app QR codes as a backup.
Can I add passes on the website instead of the app? No, digital wallet is a mobile-only feature. Wallet apps are built into phones and don't work with web browsers.
Using Passes
My pass isn't appearing on my lock screen (iPhone). How do I fix this? Check that Location Services is enabled for the Wallet app in your phone settings. Also check "Allow Access When Locked" is enabled in Wallet settings. If it still doesn't appear, open the Wallet app manually.
I don't have Google Wallet on my Android phone. Where do I get it? Install it from the Google Play Store. Search for "Google Wallet", install the app, then return to Seaty to add your passes.
Do passes sync between my devices? No, passes are stored on the device where you added them. If you want passes on another device, add them again from the Seaty app on that device.
Pass Information
The information on my pass is wrong. How do I update it? Remove the pass from your wallet and re-add it from the Seaty app. Passes don't always update automatically.
Is my pass secure? Yes. Each ticket has a unique QR code that can't be duplicated. Wallet apps encrypt stored passes, and only ticket information is included (no payment or personal details).
